Just when you think the Sedona International Film Festival can’t get any better they bust out with Wednesday “Jazz Stretch” a cool new event! On Wednesday February 22nd, 2012 at the Sedona Performing Arts Center, the Sedona Film Festival will present the world-renowned, internationally-acclaimed Brubeck Brothers Quartet.

The Brubeck Brothers Quartet is an exciting jazz group featuring two members of one of America’s most accomplished musical families, Daniel Brubeck (drums,) and Chris Brubeck (bass & trombone.) Guitarist Mike DeMicco, and pianist Chuck Lamb, complete this dynamic quartet. They have performed at concert series, colleges, and jazz festivals across North America and Europe including the Newport, Detroit, Ravinia, Las Vegas, Sedona, Spokane & Monterey Jazz Festivals.

These versatile musicians also collaborate with orchestras, and in 2006 ignited the Salt Lake City Jazz Festival by playing with the Utah Symphony conducted by Keith Lockhart. •  Priority Platinum and Gold Passes and 10 and 20-ticket packages are on sale now. Priority Pass holders are the first to be able to select tickets to the individual films as well as other benefits.
•  Platinum Passes are $600 before December 31st, 2011 and $695 after that date. Sedona Film Festival members pay $570 for advanced purchase. Platinum Passes include priority tickets and seating, access to the Filmmaker/VIP Lounge and all receptions, parties and the Awards Ceremony on Sunday, February 26th, 2012
•  Gold Priority Passes are $340 before December 31st, so11 and $395 after. Members pay $323 in advance. Gold Passes include priority tickets and seating to all films.
•  Ticket packages are $190 in advance for the 20-ticket package, $200 after December 31st, 2011 and members pay $180. The 10-ticket package is $95 in advance, $100 after December 31st, 2011 and members pay $90 in advance. Full-time students can get the 10-ticket package for $80.

It’s a battle of the sexes and a clash of the classes in the new French comedy “Potiche” staring Academy Award-nominees Catherine Deneuve and Gerard Depardieu. The film was directed by acclaimed French director Francois Ozon.

May 4th marks the start of a popular Sedona event featuring five days of bluegrass music in the red rocks of Sedona, Arizona. Chamber Music Sedona is proud to present the Sedona Bluegrass Festival. This festival has five events throughout Sedona with the main concert taking place on Sunday May 8th at the Los Abrigados Resort located in Sedona at 160 Portal Lane.

You will hear a variety of bluegrass artist including International Bluegrass Music Association’s Female Vocalist of the Year, Claire Lynch, Burnett Family Bluegrass Band, Crystal Ridge Bluegrass Band and Pastor Mustard and his New National Swing Band!

Dick Curtis has been in show business for over 60 years with appearances on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, Carol Burnett Show, Dick Van Dyke Show and many others. Mr. Curtis also did voice overs for the Saul Bass academy award film “Why Man Creates” which was the winning documentary short film in 1968 and is still being used in education today.
