There is a great line up of entertainment for you in Sedona, Arizona this week starting off with Shakespeare in high definition when the Sedona International Film Festival presents “The Tempest” on Tuesday, July 17th, 2012. The Film Festival will also be joining cities and towns nationwide to host screenings of the documentary “Fixing the Future” on July 18th. And the National Theatre of London returns to Sedona , July 19th – 21st, when the Sedona International Film Festival hosts the big screen premiere of the award-winning London productions of “Frankenstein”.  On Friday, July 20th, Studio Live Sedona presents the very special event “Songwriter in the Round”. On Saturday let your pride colors show at Studio live with the Sedona Pride White Party. If you are looking for late night entertainment Olde Sedona Bar & Grill offers everything from karaoke to live bands throughout the week.

    Shakespeare in high definition debuts in Sedona with the big screen premiere of “The Tempest” at the Mary D.Fisher Theatre. This high definition, big screen version of “The Tempest” was filmed live over two days with eight cameras at the Stratford Shakespeare Festival in Canada.“The Tempest” pits the desire for revenge against the demands of love and asks if man is capable of creating a brave new world.The presentation will include a 20-minute Q&A with Christopher Plummer and Des McAnuff, hosted by Barry Avrich, Executive Producer of “The Tempest”…Read More

This Weeks Sedona Entertainment Guide

The Sedona International Film Festival kicks off this weeks line up of entertainment with the Northern Arizona premiere of the romantic comedy “Hysteria” in Sedona on Tuesday, July 10th, the film festival will also have a screening in Flagstaff on July 11th. On Wednesday the 11th don’t miss Rob Reiner’s new comedy/drama “The Magic of Belle Isle”, starring Morgan Freeman! On Thursday the 12th, decker will be playing live at Olde Sedona Bar & Grill followed by Aces & Eights on the 13th. Studio Live Sedona is offering up two can’t miss musical performance on Saturday the 14th. The Prescott Jam Band Spafford, will be playing the “Backyard” at Studio Live at 6:00 pm, and Lipbone Redding takes the stage at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre at 7:30 pm.

Festival of music to benefit the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park

Come celebrate a festival of music at the “Stand for Peace” concert on July 8th, 2012 to benefit the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park in Sedona, Arizona!  The Sedona Performing Arts Alliance and it’s members have committed to assisting in the efforts to save the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park with a benefit concert and new compilation CD. Tickets for the benefit concert are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show, gates open at 3:30 pm with performances beginning at 4:00 pm. This is an outdoor event, please bring a chair or blanket for your comfort. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.
