If you are visiting Sedona-Verde Valley today and looking for a family fun day of 4th of July celebrations look no further than Cottonwood, Arizona. Join in the fun as the City of Cottonwood Parks and Recreation Department hosts its “12th Annual Independence Day Fireworks Extravaganza“ The event kicks of at 4:00 pm with something for everyone in your family. Tantalize your taste buds with free food provided to you courtesy of Fry’s Food & Drug and prepared by Hog Wild BBQ Restaurant & Verde/Clarkdale Kiwanis, participate in the watermelon eating contest and there will be wrist bands available for purchase for kids to enjoy water slides and giant inflatable rides!
The countdown to Northern Arizona’s finest fireworks display will begin at 7:45 pm with music, presentations, and a patriotic salute by the VFW Color Guard. Then right around 8:45 pm as the sky darkens the colorful display will light up the skies!
Admission is Free! Parking is $1 and it benefits a local nonprofit youth organization.The event will be held at the Cottonwood Kids Park on 12th street next to the Verde Valley fairgrounds a short distance from Sedona!
