Mabery Family and Blazin’ M Ranch
A Longstanding Verde Valley Tradition
One of the favorite Western attractions of locals and visitors to the Sedona-Verde Valley area is the Blazin’ M Ranch located in the heart of Cottonwood. Traditionally the Blazin’ M Ranch closes during August, but this year August will be a month of renovation and rejuvenation. On September 1, 2010, the Ranch will re-open with an updated menu, brand new activities and shops, and a new operational management team. The Copper Spur Management Company will assume responsibility for all day-to-day operations, on-property activities, marketing and reservations for the Blazin’ M Ranch.
The Ranch is still wholly-owned by the Mabery Family Partnership. The Mabery family’s vision, carried forth through four generations of cultivating the property, will still be evident in every aspect of the ranch experience. Chuck Mabery, patriarch of the family was the Master of Ceremonies at the very first dinner show. His retirement two years ago made a huge impact on the entire extended family of Blazin’ M Ranch. Dan and Lori Mabery continue to play an active role in overseeing the business. Hiring a management team gives the Mabery Family the opportunity to watch their cherished business grow instead of working the fields everyday.
“We are excited about the changes coming to the Blazin’ M Ranch. There are going to be so many new venues for people to experience in the same family-style atmosphere everyone expects,” said Lori Mabery, “and we are confident that this change will help build tourism in our community.”
The Blazin’ M Ranch will always have that friendly frontier attitude and warm welcome for you at the gate. It’s the new experiences inside the gates that will excite you all over again. Visit the Blazin’ M Ranch in September – Wednesday through Saturday and see the Maberys’ baby firsthand. The gates will open at 4 p.m. Visit Blazin’ M Ranch for more information and to make reservations.
