Get a taste of the Old Wild West at the Copper Spur Saloon in Cottonwood

“Belly Up” to the bar at Blazin’ M Ranch
Local Brews, Area Wines and Cowboy Cocktails

Visit the Copper Spur Saloon at the Blazin’ M Ranch the next time you are visiting the Sedona-Verde Valley to experience the feel and taste of the old wild west! The term saloon conjures up a picture in our minds of a Wild West icon: a two-storied wooden facade fronted by a wide boardwalk flanking the dusty street and a couple of hitchin’ posts. The always-present swinging doors brush against the cowboy as he makes his way to the long polished bar in search of a whiskey to wet his parched throat.

The Blazin’ M Ranch’s new saloon may have a slightly different twist but it still has that great thirst-quenching appeal and Western ambiance. With the addition of the Copper Spur Saloon, the Blazin’ M Ranch is now the perfect place to belly up to bar.

Ancient mesquite wood and cowhides beautify the Copper Spur’s Southwestern-style bar with rusted clavos accents. Vintage doors from a 100-year-old cabin create the table tops adorned with classic playing cards illustrating famous poker combinations including Aces and Eights, the proverbial dead man’s hand. An arrangement of artwork depicting a variety of spurs and local vintage landscapes embellish the walls. The antler light with rawhide shades is an exclusive, and what would a bar be without a Texas longhorn mount?

A dance hall girl in an Old West vignette greets you as you enter the bar. Read the tale of her contribution to the American West and the prominence of the saloon as a gathering place for weary travelers, lonesome cowboys and thirsty miners. Today, the Copper Spur Saloon is the ideal location for Verde Valley visitors and locals to get a taste of the Old and Wild West. From the hardwood floors and trim to the wrought iron detailing, the saloon creates a setting full of Western charm.

In addition to the full bar, the Copper Spur Saloon features a great selection of wines from the Verde Valley as well as a variety of Arizona’s own micro-brews. There’s an appealing appetizer bar for those with a case of the munchies. Most nights, one of the Blazin’ M Cowboys does some guitar pickin’ in the saloon before the show.

The Copper Spur Saloon is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.. Patrons of the saloon do not have to have a dinner show ticket. For those having dinner at the Ranch, libations also are available in the barn prior to the show.

The Blazin’ M Ranch is located at 1875 Mabery Ranch Road, Cottonwood, AZ 86326. Situated on the banks of the Verde River and adjacent to Dead Horse Ranch State Park, the Blazin’ M Ranch is just minutes from the Verde Canyon Railroad depot, 25 minutes from Sedona and two hours north of Phoenix. Hours of operation vary depending on the season. For more details please visit the Blazin’ M Ranch.
