Sedona, Arizona is buzzing with entertainment for everyone this week. The Sedona Internationsl Film Festival kicks the week off on Tuesday, July 3rd, with the Award-winning Epic Film “Bel Ami” at the Mary D. Fisher Theatre (film will show through July 6th).  Then on the Saturday the 7th,  the Sedona film festival will present a Free encore screenings of the award-winning feature film “Jun Ai”! The Free Sedona event Sizzling Summer Bash at Tlaquepaque will also be taking place on Saturday with live entertainment featuring the Geritol Hipsters, 56 and the Oak Creek Band! On Sunday, July 8th, the much anticipated Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park Benefit Concert “Stand for Peace” takes place in the “Backyard” at Studio Live Sedona. The award-winning epic film “Bel Ami” premieres at the Sedona International Film Festival’s Mary D. Fisher Theatre. “Bel Ami” features a stellar, award-winning ensemble cast including Oscar-nominees Kristin Scott Thomas and Uma Thurman, Golden Globe-nominee Christina Ricci, and Robert Pattinson. The film is based on the 1885 novel of the same name by Guy de Maupassant. Free Encore screenings of ‘Jun Ai’
July 7th, 2012
Location: Mary D. Fisher Theatre

The Sedona International Film Festival is proud to welcome back the filmmaking team and ambassadors from Japan on Saturday, July 7 for free encore screenings of the award-winning feature film “Jun Ai”.These free encore screenings will kick of the film’s United States tour. The filmmaking team from Japan will be here to host the screenings, including a special introduction and forum with the lead actress and producer of the film, Keiko Kobayashi.It is summer 1945 the end of a long world conflict. The story involves war, but tells of love — a love that overcomes the conflict of two nations. Studio Live Sedona

Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park Benefit Concert
July 8th, 2012 (4:00 pm)
Locations: “The Backyard” @ Studio Live
Tickets: $20/day of show and $15/advance

Come celebrate a festival of music at the “Stand for Peace” concert on July 8th, 2012 to benefit the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park in Sedona, Arizona! The Sedona Performing Arts Alliance and it’s members have committed to assisting in the efforts to save the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park with a benefit concert and new compilation CD. Tickets for the benefit concert are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the show, gates open at 3:30 pm with performances beginning at 4:00 pm. This is an outdoor event, please bring a chair or blanket for your comfort. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The “Stand for Peace” project is being spearheaded by local artist Tara Middleton (Adalia Tara). Featured performers at the Benefit Concert will include performances by Eric Miller, Jake Payne, Sophia Angeles, Adalia Tara, Redland, Decker and various special guests. A portion of the proceeds will go directly to supporting the efforts to save the Amitabha Stupa and Peace Park.

Uncork your pent-up patriotism and be sure to celebrate Independence Day at the 3rd Annual Sizzlin’ Summer Bash at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village in Sedona, Arizona, Saturday July 7th, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Admission is free. Activities galore await families and folks of all ages.   • 56 performing from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
