Keep Sedona Beautiful welcomes all to attend their 31st Annual Sedona event, Native Plant Workshop, taking place at Sedona Red Rock High School on April 10th from 8:45am – 2:00 pm. This Event will feature keynote speakers Merle & Michele Herrick presenting “Turn your Desert Dust to Black Gold” and Cynthia Lee Cartier speaking on “Organic Vegetable Gardening”. Admission to this event will include the choice of two of the seven workshops being offered:
- The power of wild desert plants – edible, medicinal, spiritual and cultural
- Hummingbirds; The servants of plants
- Pests in the garden & their control
- Up close and digital in the garden
- Creating a backyard habitat using native plants to attract native birds
- Get to know the natives
- Rainwater harvesting in tanks and earthworks
Your admission also covers lunch, free plants and a silent auction that includes some of the following items to bid on:
- Mixed case of arizona stronghold wines
- dinners for two at both Heartline cafe and Red’s restaurant
- Hand knotted Kilim rug
- Sunflower designed garden pots
- Dinner at Elote Cafe along with the Elote Cafe cookbook by Jeff Smedstad
