Art Lovers – take a weekend getaway to the Sedona-Verde Valley during the first weekend of August and enjoy the red rocks of Sedona while exploring the finest of galleries in Sedona and Jerome with two very special free events! The Sedona 1st Friday Evening in the Galleries takes place on August 5th and the Saturday Jerome Art Walk on August 6th.
During both events you can view the work of local artists and often get to meet and talk with the artists themselves. You will find a large variety of mediums including pottery, oils, blown glass, jewelry and much more. The Sedona Gallery Association invites you to dive into the exhilarating Sedona arts on Friday, August 5th with a unique showcase highlighting artists, special exhibits, and art events including the First Friday Gallery Walk at Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village, Sedona Arts Center elements exhibit “Air” and so much more! This special art reception gives you, the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments while beginning your weekend with an exploration of Sedona’s exciting art scene. The Sedona Trolley provides free transportation to venture from art gallery to art gallery. Jerome Art Walk
Arizona’s Art Destination – Free Event
Enjoy a warm and sultry night filled with art, music and gallery hopping is in store on August 6 for First Saturday Art Walk in Jerome. Visit 25 galleries and studios throughout this charming mountain town from 5:00-8:00PM. A free shuttle runs during the walk, from the newest studios at The Old Jerome High School up to Main Street and the gallery of Patrick Lincoln and Made in Jerome Pottery. Welcome a few new sponsors to the group like Bobby D’s BBQ and University Shack, right next to Gallery 527. Make sure to check out Magpie – a wearable arts boutique- presents the fine craftsmanship of Kyli Knaack. A master wireworker and chain maille artist, Kyli works copper, sterling, and gemstones into beautiful one of a kind jewelry.
