This is the weekend of all weekends to visit Sedona, Arizona! There are events happening all over the Sedona and Verde River Valley area including the kick off of the Sedona International Film Festival! There will be music and poetry at Studio Live Sedona, the Chocolate Lovers Train in taking place all weekend at the Verde Canyon Railroad, there will be a Pecan, Wine, and Antiques Festival in Camp Verde, live entertainment at Olde Sedona Bar & Grill and for all those brides to be, the Sedona Bridal Fair & the Sedona Wedding Boot Camp will be taking place on Saturday! The Sedona Wedding Boot Camp will be on Saturday February 18th, 2012 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the Sedona Wedding Studio located at 1710 West State Route 89A in Sedona, Arizona. 2/17/12 – Studio Live Sedona
Rhythm Keepers Celebrate Black History Month (7:30 pm)
James and The Rhythm Keepers will be presenting A Musical Journey from New Orleans to Chicago: How Music Evolved thr0ugh Black American History. This event encompasses James’ personal experience growing up as an African American descendent of slaves in Memphis, Tennessee during the Civil Rights Movement. Sedona based musician James Turner began his bass playing career at the age of 13, playing with countless bands including Grammy winning artist Al Green, Memphis based Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas and The Ovations. Baba Vusi Shibambo grew up in South Africa during the Apartheid era. Born a Zulu, Shibambo translates into English as “Guardian of the Skins”. The Shibambos were esteemed for their position as
