Studio Live Sedona

Singer/Songwriters Bob Lind & Danny O’Keefe
May 31st, 2012 (7:30 pm)
Tickets: $20/day of show and $15/advance

  • Bob Lind
Totally inimitable, Bob Lind writes, plays and sings like no one else – and he’s been doing it for more than four decades. His unique, touching lyrics have been taught in colleges and universities and translated into nine languages. But nothing equals the experience of watching this dynamic performer deliver his own songs.
  • Danny O’Keefe
In the 1970′s, Danny O’Keefe put out a string of albums that cemented his reputation as being among the best songwriters of his generation. These days, casual fans know him best for his Top Ten hit “Good Time Charlie’s Got The Blues” or Jackson Browne’s version of “The Road” from the classic Running On Empty album. But the story didn’t end in the 70′s. He continued to release the occasional album and recently returned with “In Time”, his first solo release in nine years.

‘We Have a Pope’ & “This Is Not a Film”
May 29th – June 1st, 2012
Location: Mary D. Fisher Theatre
Tickets:$12/$9 for Film Festival Members

  • “We Have a Pope”
In “We Have a Pope”, award-winning Italian director Nanni Moretti joins forces with the great French actor Michel Piccoli to tell the comedic and touching story of Melville, a cardinal who suddenly finds himself elected as the next Pope. Never the front runner and completely caught off guard, he panics as he’s presented to the faithful in St. Peter’s Square. To prevent a world-wide crisis, the Vatican’s spokesman calls in an unlikely psychiatrist, who is neither religious nor all that committed,to find out what is wrong with the new Pope. As the world nervously waits outside, inside the therapist tries to find a solution. But Cardinal Melville is adamant: he does not want the job, or at least needs time to think it over.
    Showtimes: 4:00 pm on May 29th & 30th, 7:00 pm May 31st & June 1st.
  • “This Is Not a Film”
“This Is Not a Film” is the best reviewed film of the year, garnering the highest ratings from every critic around the globe!Acclaimed and renowned Iranian director, Jafar Panahi, received a 6-year prison sentence and a 20-year ban from filmmaking and conducting interviews with foreign press due to his open support of the opposition party in Iran’s 2009 election. “This Is Not a Film” — shot partially on an iPhone and smuggled into France in a cake for a last-minute submission to Cannes — depicts the day-to-day life of Panahi during his house arrest in his Tehran apartment.
