Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village
Free Holiday Music Concert & Festival of Lights

This weekend in Sedona, Arizona the Tlaquepaque Arts & Crafts Village is the place to be to fill your family with holiday spirit! The Holiday events start on December 9th, 2011 with a free Holiday Concert in the Tlaquepaque Chapel featuring Ron Tolson from the River of Life Choir followed the next day on December the 10th with the Festival of Lights.

Tlaquepaque is pleased to present lead singers from the River of Life Tabernacle Choir, Ron Tolson and Bryan Pace, kicking off this year’s Festival of Lights with a free Holiday Music Concert in the Chapel at Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village on Friday, December 9th, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Taking place the day before the lighting of 6,000 Luminarias, this special concert will feature piano playing and vocals from a new CD featuring sacred hymns and holiday music. The non-denominational Chapel at Tlaquepaque is one of the most special venues in Northern Arizona and boasts great acoustics. Primarily used for weddings or other private gatherings, this is a rare opportunity for the public to attend an event in this memorable location. Stained glass windows and hand-carved leather pews, a stunning mural over the altar, and whitewashed adobe walls make for a beautifully intimate setting.

Then on Saturday, December 10, 2011 from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm the Festival of Lights will take place. The annual Festival of Lights featuring music, the lighting of 6,000 Luminarias throughout the courtyards and walkways of Tlaquepaque, and a visit from Santa has become a cherished tradition which involves the lighting of six thousand luminarias in Tlaquepaque’s courtyards and walkways at 5:00pm. Specially designated Luminarias honoring cancer survivors, victims can be purchased in advance. You can ride the free trolley from the Uptown Municipal Parking lot to Tlaquepaque from 3:00 pm – 8:30 pm. For additional information please call (928) 282-4838.
