Experience Sedona Red Rocks in the Moonlight!
If you are going to be visiting Sedona, Arizona July 14th & 15th, here’s your chance to see Sedona in a whole new light. Moonlight that is, with a very popular guided moonlight hike offered by Red Rock State Park. If you think Sedona is beautiful in the day, just wait until you see it in the moonlight.
The red rocks appear to take on a whole new color and you can feel the energy emitting from the vortexes that surround you.The hike includes a naturalist-led interpretive program on the park’s beautiful trails. Enjoy the sunset and moonrise from an overlook and return by the light of the moon.
The park offers these guided moonlight hikes through October. Dates and start times for these hikes will vary throughout the months.
The Red Rock State Park is located at 4050 Red Rock Loop Road in Sedona. Reservation for this hike are a must. A $5.00 per person program fee will be charged at the time of the reservation. Tips:
- Dress comfortably, wear appropriate hiking shoes.
- Bring water, a flashlight and insect spray.
- The hike lasts for approximately 2 to 2-2½ hours, has an elevation climb of 200-250 feet and covers 2 miles.
