ay come a time while you are vacationing in Sedona, Arizona that an overwhelming need for a good hamburger hits you. Maybe you’re finishing up a hike, or a Jeep tour through the red rocks and your mind starts picturing the perfect burger. Not any hamburger will do, you need an all out, made the way you want it, stick to your ribs delight. No worries my friend, we have the perfect place for you.
I have some friends that are very good at tracking down the best of the best in Sedona and when one of them called to tell me they had found the ultimate burger in Sedona, my mouth started watering and I knew where we would be going that night. We drove into the Los Abrigados Resort next to the Tlaquepaque Village in Sedona, to a restaurant called Stakes & Sticks. I have never been there before, so I was rather delighted to see the flat screen TVs spread around the room showing a wide variety of sports that you could watch from the big comfy booths.
Enough about the décor, I was ready for the promised “best burger in Sedona”! My friend and I both ordered the burger bar and our server gave us a checklist of toppings to choose from. I took my crayon, which I had been drawing on the table covering with, and went to work. I ordered my burger well done with jalapeños, onions, cheddar and avocado! Oh my, was it good. They really know how to do a burger right. It was cooked perfectly. It was juicy and the burger was bigger than the bun, a definite plus in my book.

ou ever heard of putting fried eggs on a burger? That was just one of the items they had to offer and my friend had his with one smack dab on top. It must have been good, he was smiling the whole time he ate it! Unfortunately that night the Diamondbacks lost while we ate, but at least I had the burger to console me.
