Sedona, Arizona and the Verde River Valley are jammed packed with events and fun things for you to do this Valentine’s weekend. The Sedona Bridal Fair, Chocolate Lovers Train and even a very special Silent Art Auction, just to name a few, are all taking place this weekend!
When you’re visiting the Verde River Valley and Sedona this summer make sure to check out the ultimate Starlight Tour into the scenic Verde Canyon with the Verde Canyon Railroad! There are a few tours in the Sedona-Verde Valley that I would do over and over again. The Starlight Tours with the Verde Canyon Railroad is definitely on of them!
On summer evenings, it’s not just the stars in the sky that come out to play in Verde Canyon. As the sun slips behind distant mountains, cool air sweeps through the Canyon signaling the resident wildlife to begin their nightly rounds. The Canyon comes alive with the luminous glow of moon-kissed skies on Verde Canyon Railroad’s popular Saturday Starlight Tours. The train departs the depot at 5:30 p.m. and as it rumbles through the Canyon, the low slant of sun bathes the high cliffs in soft golden hues. The train reaches the turn-around point of Perkinsville amid a scandalous sunset. The return trip offers a serene glimpse into the nocturnal wildlife set against a dazzling canvas of celestial bodies.

Have some fun during your visit to Sedona this week at Studio Live with two talented musicians and an evening of poetry! The fun starts on March 8th when “Zen Cowboy” Chuck Pyle takes the stage, followed by a night of blues on the 9th with Dana Hubbard. And then on Saturday March 10th, Studio Live hosts the fourth Sedona Poetry Slam of the season featuring Texas poet Seth Walker.
For all the wine, pecan and antique lovers that are going to be in Sedona over the Valentine’s Day weekend, (February 17th – 19th) the 12th Annual Pecan, Wine and Antique Festival is the place to be. Enjoy three fun fill days of a variety of tasty Pecan dishes, glorious Verde Valley Wines, wonderful historical Antiques, and Arizona Artisans! I attended this event last year and would recommend it to anyone that is in the area! The admission is only $12.50 and includes your entrance fee, tasting coupons and a commemorative wine glass. The Festival takes place on Main Street in downtown Camp Verde (Get Directions).
