Father’s Day is just around the corner, and if you live in or are going to be visiting the Sedona and Verde River Valley area the Blazin’ M Ranch has a very special Father’s Day event that your Dad is sure to enjoy!
Did Daddy Do It In Dem Dar Hills? That’s what everyone will be asking this Father’s Day, Sunday, June 17th as the Blazin’ M Ranch, a local favorite entertainment venue, presents their special engagement Western Murder Mystery Dinner. Sponsored by Cliff Castle Casino Hotel with wine tasting by Arizona Stronghold Winery, the evening, filled with mystery, music and mayhem will include Blazin’ M’s signature BBQ dinner with all the fixins’. Supper is served up as guests “witness” some hilarious antics that provide clues to help them determine the callous culprit of the evening’s dastardly deed… murder!
The all-star cast consists of five of Sedona and the Verde Valley’s most acclaimed actors, singers and musicians, Mike Gilbert, Brad Roberts, Dev Ross and Tom & Shondra. Mike Gilbert is best known and loved in the Verde Valley as a talented sound designer, composer, guitarist and singer and is currently working on a new CD. Audiences have enjoyed Brad Robert’s performances in acting roles at Canyon 
Moon Theatre and singing in venues around the Verde Valley. He is also frequently heard as voice talent on several of the radio stations within Yavapai Broadcasting as well as on LIVE broadcast remotes as the DJ and emcee. Dev Ross, a former writer for Disney, is also an actress and singer who is currently writing Saturday morning shows for Mattel and has two film scripts under consideration by Fox Searchlight and a subsidiary of Lionsgate. Sedona entertainers Tom & Shondra have a long list of credits from having entertained audiences with their own shows across the U.S. Besides being one of the three Sedona Dynamite Divas, Shondra is an actress, singer, songwriter, producer and sound designer. Tom’s talent has landed him leads in Broadway and Opera tours as a singer and actor. Blazin’ M Ranch audiences enjoy his regular performances as the zany Otis in their classic cowboy dinner show.
This impressive local troupe will come together to portray some lively and unforgettable characters, including Detective Dandy, singer Tammy Whynot and dark stranger Clint Chisolm, along with Chef Cookie, JR Chickenwing (better known as “Big Daddy”) his new bride Bambi and even some unsuspecting guests who could be questioned as suspects! It will be up to the guests to vote during the Guilty Pleasures dessert service as to who they think the culprit is. A Grand Prize, valued at over $500 will be awarded to the person drawn from those who correctly guess the “who dun it”. The prize includes two admission tickets to the cowboy dinner show at The Blazin’ M Ranch, a magnum of Arizona Stronghold wine, a helicopter ride for two from Arizona Helicopter Adventures and an overnight package from Cliff Castle Casino Hotel including a VIP limo ride.
Sleuthing commences upon arrival at 5:00 pm. when guests check-in and receive their “Menu for Murder” outlining the evening’s itinerary. While enjoying the tractor pull, museum, shooting gallery, gift shops, wine tasting and other libations in the Copper Spur Saloon, attendees will hone their detective skills as they watch for clues to unfold during these pre-dinner activities and attractions. The dinner bell rings at 6:15 pm…. and the suspense continues until 8:00 pm.
