The Verde Canyon Railroad, one of the most popular attractions in the Sedona-Verde Valley partners up with Liberty Wildlife through out the year to offer you the chance to get up close to magnificent wildlife with both the “Raptors at the Depot” and “Raptors on the Train” events!
“Raptors on the Train”
These are very special days where Sonora will be on the Train! Who is Sonora you ask? Sonora is a very sociable juvenile bald eagle, who loves to ride the train. With wings outstretched and eyes scanning the horizon, she delights passengers and crew alike. At the top of the avian food chain, it is assumed that this bald eagle prefers first-class!

”Raptors at the Dept”
Scottsdale’s Liberty Wildlife and the Verde Canyon Railroad provides visitors the opportunity to see wild raptors at the depot. Handlers will answer questions and pose for photos during depot patio presentation.
